Learn about what's expected in the upcoming legislative session on the League's key issues from our lobbyist, legislators, and Advocacy Team. On the agenda:
- Legislative forecast from LWVWA's contract lobbyist
- Panel discussion with elected state legislators
- Attend breakout groups focused on the League's key issues:

Also learn about engaging with the legislature in a separate session on January 6. Called “Speak-up School”, this session will include the following topics:
- How to use the legislative web site for legislation and additional background
- How to use the League’s legislative newsletter
- How to testify effectively
- How to talk to legislators in one-one or small group meetings
This session will also prepare League members and others for Democracy Lobby Week with Fix Democracy First, to be held the week of January 22-26, 2024.
