Global Democracy Champions Summit—October 24-26 2023

This is an event put on by the League of Women Voters of the US and National Institute for Civil Discourse network.

Hosted by Keseb, in collaboration with The Laut Center for the Analysis of Liberty and Authoritarianism; The University of Chicago Center for Effective Government; The Stanford Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law; The Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town; and The Johns Hopkins Stavros Niarchos Foundation Agora Institute. 2024 presents a rare convergence of election cycles involving approximately one billion voters. Citizens across more than 50 countries are expected to head to the polls next year, in addition to those in the United States. Spanning three days, this summit will feature sessions focusing on countering authoritarianism and building an inclusive and resilient 21st century democracy. The summit is virtual and free.
