Are You Ready for 2024…and Beyond?—Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, 12 pm (3pm Eastern)

This is an event put on by the League of Women Voters of the US and National Institute for Civil Discourse network.

How can we restore public trust in our Elections? How can we sing beyond the choir to engage community members in our democracy? How do we move forward in an environment of polarization and disinformation? What innovations are having success?

The LWV/NICD Network will be exploring these questions with democracy innovators including Tommy Gong, Chief Deputy Clerk-Recorder for Contra Costa County, CA; Matt Leighninger, Director of the Center for Democracy Innovation at the National Civic League; and Network members Janet Hoy, Melanie Speir, Marieann Shovlin, and Bob Barrett, members of California Bay Area/Contra Costa County Leagues.

As we head into an election year like no other, our panelists will share their insights, ideas and tools to bolster our local efforts in supporting democracy. You don’t want to miss this. We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 19
