Speak Up School: Learn to Testify

  • People who are planning to take the class. All experience levels are welcome.
  • People who are helping to give the Speak Up School or help coach others with testimony.

The 2023 Washington legislative session begins in January—be prepared to give testimony in support of LWVWA efforts, or on issues that you are passionate about. Speak Up School will also help you learn to talk in front of your city council, county council, school board, or any other policymaking body.

Speak Up School is fun! It's straightforward and extremely useful. In 2021, Speak Up Schools were a tremendous success, so we are offering another one targeted towards testifying in front of legislative bodies. 

Date: January 7th

Main Session: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM; includes coaching. 

Cost: FREE 

This Speak Up School will be held online, with breaks and breakout rooms to practice your testimony. All registrants will be sent the Zoom link.
