Learn first-hand about the challenges that faced political, civic and business leaders involved in the 100-year struggle for Black voting rights during this free interactive workshop hosted by the League of Women Voters of Clark County and the Fort Vancouver Regional Library. Employing a critical-thinking approach featured in the Harvard Business School Case Method, the online workshop titled “Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Struggle for Black Voting Rights,” will put audience members in the role of chief decision-makers. The program details the strategies civil rights activists employed, featuring a special emphasis on the civil disobedience protests of the modern Civil Rights Movement, culminating with King’s leading protesters in 1965 across the Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, said Schick, coordinator of the event.
