We will present research in neurobiology, storytelling, civil discourse, and DEI. Gain tools to help you use storytelling in your own work.

This workshop is for you if you want to learn how to break down barriers and advance the priorities of marginalized communities. Discover the common ground and community that we all share, and see how sharing power and access makes a stronger democracy, a richer society, and a better life for us all. About the presenter: Stephanie Elie-Martin is a communication, equity, and leadership consultant in the Inland Northwest. She specializes in engaging and empowering diverse audiences through informed, intentional communication. “My passion in life is storytelling. My professional career has been built on the ability to communicate with diverse, often highly charged audiences. It wasn't until my research hit a vein with storytelling that I realized my ability to truly listen and create stories of unity were what enabled me to elevate conversations and organizations. My time is currently equally divided helping organizations use story to overcome the most challenging situations (inclusivity training, conflict management, change management, disjointed cultures, and difficult conversations), researching the power of story across disciplinary lines, and teaching at the collegiate level.”
