Mayor of Seattle and Seattle School Board Candidates for District 4 Forum (LWVSKC)

LWVSKC's First Hill Unit and Horizon House Residents' Council Election Forums Committee invite you to a forum with candidates for Mayor of Seattle and Seattle School Board candidates for District 4. Leadership of the our city over the next four years will be the issue when the two candidates for Seattle Mayor appear at our Election Forum on Tuesday, October 5. The next Mayor—either H. Lorena Gonzalez or Bruce Harrell—will face a challenging situation which the Seattle Times has described as “a city deeply divided over homelessness, policing and equity, and reeling from crises of public health and infrastructure needs." The Mayor is involved in policy and as head of the executive branch of Seattle’s municipal government, the Mayor is accountable for a wide range of city services and a $6.5 billion annual budget. Also at Tuesday’s Forum will be the Seattle School Board candidates for District 4.
